Do you offer only subscription services?
No. It is our primary business model to work with you and your business monthly so that we may work with you on a consistent basis. This will allow us to understand your business better to help support your growth. However, we will take on one-time tax projects, cleanup and even train you to manage this on your own when capacity allows, if you prefer.
I'm a business owner and need only little help. Can you teach me how to do my own bookkeeping?
Absolutely, when capacity allows, we will conduct one-time one-on-one training for basic bookkeeping and using accounting software. We will also offer self-paced online training in the future.
Why do I need this service?
You don't. Theoretically you could store all of your sales invoices and expense receipts/invoices in a glove compartment and take them to an accountant at the end of the year. That would take you time to ensure you had all of them; it would cost you more with your accountant, at a much higher rate per hour; and you would continue to lose profitability by now knowing your financial position. Or you can take control right now and put yourself in the driver's seat of your business!
What information is required to get started?
During your complimentary consultation we will determine where your business sits currently to determine requirements. We will ask questions regarding the status of your taxes; your corporation and annual requirements (if applicable); your current method and status of bookkeeping; current filing practices; etc. This will allow us to discuss the best course and speed of action.
I have a corporation, and I don't like that I have to deal with an accountant, a lawyer and a bookkeeper for my business. How are you different?
You deal with us all 3 services. We will coordinate with your accountant and lawyer, or we may use those that we frequently contract.
How will this service make me more profitable when I am paying for the service monthly, and it costs me much less to do it myself?
Firstly, the cost of your time, the only non-renewable resource you have, stress, anxiety and worry is worth far more than outsourcing this part of your business. Secondly, you become profitable by having an intimate understanding of your financial position to allow you to make decisions about the direction of your growth. For instance, sometimes you become immediately more profitable by applying the 80/20 principle. There are many other tools as well.
